Whether it's with our children, friends, parents, work collogues, or significant others, challenges in relationships are often rooted in behaviors that are complex and based on early-life experiences. Once we understand emotional and behavioral development, relationships can be positively improved.
At Life Skills Northwest, we teach individuals the reasons for behaviors that negatively impact relationships, and provide tools for addressing these behaviors. The course content is drawn and integrated from the latest findings in three areas: Psychology, Neurobiology, and Contemplative Practices.
The Life Skills program is a 26-week, group-based program. Each session topic is different and is implemented through the use of DVD's, a course reading material and group discussion. The purpose of the material is to develop the character and emotional maturity of the participants. Specifically the coursework focuses on replacing negative behavior patterns with more positive ones. The course is ideal for anyone seeking to improve their most important interpersonal relationships.
